Opening Fanfare: Scotland Makes Music
Join us for this joyful celebration of Scotland’s homegrown music scene in Princes Street Gardens.
Fusing together brass bands and pipers, rappers and choirs, Festival Director Nicola Benedetti has assembled a diverse community of Scotland’s young musicians for an energetic afternoon of music making.
For the first day of the celebrations, wander through the park to hear the likes of Granton Youth Club, the Ceilidh Trail Ensemble and Musicians in Exile showcased on our satellite stages. These vibrant and varied musical voices will be woven together in a soaring anthem to complete the day.
This event is free and unticketed, so feel free to drop in throughout the afternoon.
